SCIENCE

I am a scientist and science communicator with a passion for the natural world. I have a PhD in animal behaviour and have studied everything from how praying mantises deceive other animals with elaborate and colourful displays; to how ants shape ecosystems by dispersing plant seeds and insect eggs, and how spiders sing to each other through their webs. If you are after some light bedtime reading a full list of my scientific publications can be found here.

I am the founder and director of In Situ Science, a registered charity dedicated to supporting Australian research, exploration, and education. I host the In Situ Science podcast and produce content for the In Situ Science YouTube channel and live events. I also host and produce two other science podcasts Curiosity Built the Boilerhouse, and Stories of STEM Q. I continue to share the wonders of science and nature with the world through my various art and storytelling projects.
